At Sona, our mission is to build the ‘self-driving car’ of frontline workforce technology. Our end-to-end workforce management platform unifies Scheduling, HR, Payroll, and Engagement, replacing multiple legacy systems (or the paper, Excel, and WhatsApp ‘stack’ that’s prevalent across the front line).

Combining this with a consumer-grade employee app and weaving truly intelligent AI functionality throughout, we’re driving a fundamental shift in how all frontline businesses operate and give them everything they need to staff more intelligently and empower their teams.

How it’s going

Over 100,000 frontline staff are now using Sona and you can check out the latest count of shifts arranged using our platform on our website.

Our team doubled in size over the last year (to ~110) and, despite working fully remotely, we got the chance to meet each other at meet-ups in Mallorca, and Slovenia, and Portugal.

We closed our Seed funding in March ‘22, led by Google’s Gradient Ventures, and won an innovation award for technology in Social Care. More recently, we ranked 5th out of 8,500 early-stage SaaS companies, according to Notion Capital.

After growing 5x in 2023, we’ve recently closed our $27.5m Series A fundraise from Felicis, Northzone, Gradient, and SpeedInvest to continue our rapid growth and prepare for US expansion. We were also named in LinkedIn’s Top 20 UK startups list for 2024 and in the 2025 Startup 100 Index.

How we work

Remote & Flexible 💻

At Sona, we believe that everyone does their best work when they are happy and feel in control. That's why we measure in output, not time and give everyone the highest degree of flexibility and control we can over how and where they want to live and work, and how they organise their time day-to-day.

We’re primarily spread across the UK and mainland Europe, with a few team members further afield in US and South East Asia. We’re remote-first but some teams spend more time in the office together to collaborate and choose a hybrid working arrangement. Please check the job advert for the role you’re applying for to confirm the working arrangements for that team.

We have a modern office in London, UK which you’re able to use when you like. For folks not based in London you get a monthly budget to use for office or co-working space as they choose.
